We bought this DVD player for my toddler to watch on long trips. The first time we used it, it stopped working before she even got through her first movie. I have not been able to get it to work since.

The screen freezes up after being on for about 30 minutes. We returned one and the new one had the same problem. Very frustrating when you buy this to keep your child happy on a road trip and it only makes her more mad because the movies stop playing.

I bought 2 of these for my children in June. By the end of September, one had stopped working. Now on October 17th the other has stopped working. We have figured out it is the way they made the plug(instead of being one whole piece, there is an insert that becomes loose)So now if we hold the plug really tightly it will come one, but if you let go it stops. Do not waste your money on these cheap players.

Not only does this DVD player not play DVDs that are scratched (as they tend to be when little fingers get ahold of them), when we ventured on a road trip we found that the screen freezes while the audio keeps playing. (Highway driving, so no rough roads). At times, the DVD stops entirely. Best case scenario is to buy a few new DVDs before each trip and hope that they last until your trip is over.

purchased three of these last christmas and never had a problem with any of them. worth every penny. very durable, been dropped many times. low volume is a good thing!

The player was OK until the volume is not loud enough even I turn the maximum. I am looking for a better one instead.

Brought it during Black Friday 2009. Picture Quality is good, but volume isn't loud enough even at it's highest capacity. All in all, it's lightweight and it does it's job. Kind of get what you paid for. It does it's job and so far not bad at all.

I bought one of these DVD players for my son in February 09 and it stopped working in October 09. I sent it back to RCA to be repaired/refurbished and was sent a new one (6 weeks later) and it does not work either. I am done with this product and brand and will purchase a new portable DVD player of a different brand. Please DO NOT buy this product and support this type of poor quality control!

I bought this on Black Friday, 2009 for my 2 year old. Got it home and the product worked fine, volume was good, everything. But, the car adapter was so tight it wouldn't fit into my lighter, which is the whole reason I bought it. So I called customer service, and they were terrible. Told, ME to go out and buy a new car adapter. I called them back again and they said target would give me a new adapter, which was untrue. So I exchanged it. The 2nd one, had the same tight fit, I pushed it so hard and it finally went in, ah problem solved. WRONG! The 2nd one won't even read a disc!!! I'm returning it tomorrow and getting my money back. Also, it does feel cheap and look cheap. Very disappointed!
